- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup red velvet cake mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped Oreos for topping
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add sour cream, eggs, red velvet cake mix, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter into the crust, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with chopped Oreos and whipped cream.
