Crispy, flavor-packed bites filled with buffalo chicken, mozzarella, and bacon, perfect for game day gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (cut into cubes)
- 6 slices Cooked Bacon (crumbled)
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 large Eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular)
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling by mixing ground chicken, crumbled bacon, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until blended.
- Form the bombs by flattening a handful of the chicken mixture in your hand, placing a mozzarella cube in the center and wrapping the mixture around it to form a ball.
- Coat the bombs by rolling each in flour, dipping in the egg mixture, and coating with breadcrumbs.
- Fry the bombs in a hot oil-filled frying pan for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
Notes
Make-ahead by preparing the filling and assembling the bombs a few hours in advance. You can also bake them instead of frying for a lighter option.
