Description
A delightful one-pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo that combines spicy Cajun flavors with creamy Alfredo sauce for a comforting dinner in just 30 minutes.

- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 1.5 cups orzo pasta
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the diced chicken, seasoning with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onions and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. If desired, add bell pepper and sauté.
- Stir in the orzo pasta, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the orzo is al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chicken back to the pot along with the Parmesan cheese. Stir until creamy and well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the warm orzo mixture in bowls and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with diced tofu or chickpeas and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
