Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Create a well in the center and pour in the warm milk, melted butter, and warm water.
  3. Crack the egg into the bowl and mix until a rough dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
  6. Mix together minced garlic, softened butter, and chopped parsley for the filling.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease the muffin tin.
  8. Roll the dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  9. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
  10. Sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
  11. Roll the dough into a log, slice, and place in muffin cups.
  12. Cover the tin and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  13. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden-brown.
  14. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

For make-ahead, prepare the dough overnight in the fridge. For air fryer, reduce baking time to 15 minutes.
