Description

Grill up a platter of Chicken Kofta paired with a luscious Garlic Yogurt Sauce that bursts with flavor from aromatic spices.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently.
  2. Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas.
  3. Preheat your grill and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  4. Place the koftas on the grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until combined.
  6. Serve the grilled koftas, drizzling the garlic yogurt sauce over them or serving it on the side.

Notes

Make the mixture a day in advance for better flavor. Cook using a grill or air fryer as an alternative.
