Description

Tender chicken strips coated in a whiskey-glazed sesame sauce, delivering a perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken strips
  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Oil for frying
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the whiskey, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ground ginger until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the marinade, coating thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Dredge each marinated chicken strip in cornstarch, shaking off excess.
  5. Fry the strips in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, flipping them halfway.
  6. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the chicken and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using an air fryer at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.
