Description

A creamy and indulgent dish featuring tender gnocchi enveloped in a rich sauce with smoked salmon and fresh dill.


Ingredients

  • 1 package gnocchi
  • 200g smoked salmon, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi according to package instructions (usually 2-3 minutes). Once they float, they’re done! Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil until glistening.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and increase heat to bring to a gentle simmer, whisking constantly for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Gently add the smoked salmon and chopped dill, stirring softly to combine and heat through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the drained gnocchi to the skillet and toss gently until they are coated in the sauce.
  8. Serve the gnocchi on plates and garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

To make ahead, prepare the sauce a few hours in advance and reheat before adding the gnocchi. Avoid overcrowding the pot when boiling gnocchi.
