Description
A creamy and indulgent dish featuring tender gnocchi enveloped in a rich sauce with smoked salmon and fresh dill.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package gnocchi
- 200g smoked salmon, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dill, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi according to package instructions (usually 2-3 minutes). Once they float, they’re done! Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil until glistening.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and increase heat to bring to a gentle simmer, whisking constantly for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Gently add the smoked salmon and chopped dill, stirring softly to combine and heat through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the drained gnocchi to the skillet and toss gently until they are coated in the sauce.
- Serve the gnocchi on plates and garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
To make ahead, prepare the sauce a few hours in advance and reheat before adding the gnocchi. Avoid overcrowding the pot when boiling gnocchi.
