Description

A simple yet elegant Italian pasta dish featuring garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz Linguine Pasta
  • 4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the linguine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
  3. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic is golden, about 2 minutes.
  4. Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1 cup of the starchy cooking water.
  5. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley and grated Parmesan, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference. This dish can be served with grilled chicken or vegetables for added heartiness.
