Delicious General Tso’s Chicken featuring crispy chicken thighs coated in a sweet and savory sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

- 1 pound chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until well-coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the coated chicken to the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl, then pour into the pan to simmer.
- Add the chicken back to the pan; toss until coated in sauce and heat through for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
This dish can be made-ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
