- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- Cooking Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by combining with buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Prepare the coating by mixing flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet.
- Dredge the marinated chicken pieces in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess.
- Fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown, about 10–12 minutes on each side.
- Drain excess oil on a wire rack lined with paper towels and let it rest before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, bake the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 35–40 minutes. Leftover chicken can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.
