- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 8 slices deli ham
- 1 cup cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or your choice)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 3-inch squares.
- On half of the pastry pieces, layer ham and cheese, leaving edges clear.
- Top with remaining pastry pieces and press edges to seal.
- Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the stacks ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. For extra crispiness, try using an air fryer.
