Description

Delight in crispy ham and cheese puff pastry stacks that deliver a satisfying crunch with a creamy cheesy center.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or your choice)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 3-inch squares.
  4. On half of the pastry pieces, layer ham and cheese, leaving edges clear.
  5. Top with remaining pastry pieces and press edges to seal.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the stacks ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. For extra crispiness, try using an air fryer.
