Description

Crispy homemade hash browns that are the perfect breakfast delight, featuring golden strands with a tender, fluffy interior.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large potatoes (Russets or Yukon Golds)
  • 1 small onion (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the potatoes using a box grater or food processor.
  2. Rinse the grated potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and dry the grated potatoes thoroughly using a clean towel.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Spread the grated potatoes evenly in the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes.
  7. Remove from the skillet and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot alongside your favorite breakfast items.
