Description

A delightful peach cobbler that captures the essence of summer with juicy peaches and a flaky, buttery topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl and stir gently.
  3. Spread the peach mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Whisk together melted butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk in another bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the peaches, allowing it to flow over the fruit.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delightful contrast in flavors.
