- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl and stir gently.
- Spread the peach mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Whisk together melted butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk in another bowl until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the peaches, allowing it to flow over the fruit.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
