Description

A delightful fusion of creamy feta, aromatic herbs, and chili-infused honey, these oven-fried rolls offer a crispy exterior and luscious interior, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Feta Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Dill
  • 2 tbsp Mint
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
  • 8 sheets Phyllo Pastry
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Chili Flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, crumble the feta cheese and combine it with the dill, mint, and lemon zest until blended.
  3. On a clean surface, lay out one sheet of phyllo pastry and lightly brush with olive oil. Repeat with another sheet until you have four layered sheets.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo into strips about 4 inches wide. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of each strip.
  5. Carefully fold the sides of the strip over the filling and roll tightly to secure the cheese. Place each roll seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crisp.
  8. Mix honey and chili flakes in a small bowl for the chili honey drizzle.
  9. Serve warm, drizzled with chili honey.

Notes

Keep phyllo covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out. Fresh herbs yield the best flavor.
