- 8 oz Feta Cheese
- 2 tbsp Dill
- 2 tbsp Mint
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
- 8 sheets Phyllo Pastry
- 4 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 tbsp Chili Flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, crumble the feta cheese and combine it with the dill, mint, and lemon zest until blended.
- On a clean surface, lay out one sheet of phyllo pastry and lightly brush with olive oil. Repeat with another sheet until you have four layered sheets.
- Cut the layered phyllo into strips about 4 inches wide. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of each strip.
- Carefully fold the sides of the strip over the filling and roll tightly to secure the cheese. Place each roll seam-side down on a baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Mix honey and chili flakes in a small bowl for the chili honey drizzle.
- Serve warm, drizzled with chili honey.
Notes
Keep phyllo covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out. Fresh herbs yield the best flavor.
