- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or whole wheat)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat with the cheese-breadcrumb blend.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
- Transfer the chicken to a greased baking dish.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté briefly, then stir in the heavy cream.
- Pour the cream sauce over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve warm with additional sauce poured over the chicken.
Notes
For make-ahead options, prepare up to the baking stage and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Adjust baking time if cold.
