Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Parmesan Garlic Potato Balls make an irresistible appetizer perfect for any occasion.

- 2 cups mashed potatoes (cooled)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large egg
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled mashed potatoes, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until smooth.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls.
- Set up coating stations with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow bowls.
- Roll each ball in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large skillet.
- Fry the potato balls in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
- Garnish and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
You can prepare the potato mixture and form the balls in advance and keep them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before frying.
