Description

A comforting dish of creamy penne pasta, crisp bacon, and vibrant peas that promises warmth and delightful flavors, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ yellow onion, diced very small
  • 1 cup peas, frozen
  • 6 bacon slices, thick cut and sliced small
  • ¾ pound penne pasta
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare your pasta: Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook just one minute less than package instructions for al dente.
  2. Add the peas: Toss in the frozen peas about halfway through cooking the pasta.
  3. Sizzle the bacon and onions: Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook diced onions and sliced bacon until crisp and golden.
  4. Combine pasta and sauce: Drain the pasta and peas, then add to the skillet with bacon and onions. Pour in heavy cream and stir.
  5. Serve with love: Serve immediately while hot, enjoying the dish straight from the stove.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the bacon and onion mix in advance. Customize with fresh herbs or Parmesan for added flavor.
