A comforting sandwich with succulent roast beef and creamy melted cheddar, perfect for any meal occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of bread (sourdough, ciabatta, or whole grain)
- 4 ounces of roast beef
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
- Optional: mustard or mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer with roast beef on top of the bread.
- Top the beef with cheese slices.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm with optional condiments.
Notes
Feel free to customize with tomatoes, avocado, or different cheeses like gouda or Swiss.
