Description

A comforting sandwich with succulent roast beef and creamy melted cheddar, perfect for any meal occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, ciabatta, or whole grain)
  • 4 ounces of roast beef
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • Optional: mustard or mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with roast beef on top of the bread.
  5. Top the beef with cheese slices.
  6. Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  8. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  9. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm with optional condiments.

Notes

Feel free to customize with tomatoes, avocado, or different cheeses like gouda or Swiss.
