- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cup of lettuce (romaine or arugula)
- Tomato slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
- Toast the sourdough slices in the same skillet until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Mash the ripe avocado in a mixing bowl, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble by spreading mashed avocado on two slices of toasted sourdough.
- Layer crispy bacon over the avocado, followed by fresh lettuce and tomato slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of toasted sourdough and press down gently.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
