- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with spices and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Glaze the chicken: Return chicken to the skillet, coat well with the sauce, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Cook the macaroni: Boil elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente (7-8 minutes), then drain.
- Make the cheese sauce: In another saucepan, melt butter, add flour to form a roux, then gradually whisk in milk. Cook until thickened, then stir in cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Combine: Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce.
- Serve: Plate the glazed chicken alongside the creamy mac and cheese.
