Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken, aromatic Thai basil, and a savory sauce that embodies the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 Bell pepper, diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Red chili, chopped
  • 2 Shallots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in your wok or large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic, chopped shallots, and diced bell pepper until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Brown the chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Create the sauce by pouring in the fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.
  5. Add in the chopped red chili and fresh basil leaves, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the basil wilts.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot over jasmine rice.
