Description

A comforting and flavorful pasta dish featuring fresh tomatoes and basil, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • Fresh Tomatoes (or canned San Marzano tomatoes)
  • Fresh Basil
  • Garlic
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente, according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped fresh tomatoes, salt, and pepper, cooking until tomatoes break down and form a sauce.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving some pasta water, and add the pasta to the skillet, mixing well.
  5. Incorporate fresh basil and grated Parmesan, tossing until combined and the cheese has melted.
  6. Serve hot, drizzling with olive oil and garnishing with more basil and cheese.

Notes

You can prepare the sauce one day in advance. Add sautéed vegetables or protein for extra heartiness.
