Description

A festive holiday feast featuring a succulent roasted turkey or chicken, savory stuffing, and an array of roasted vegetables, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 turkey or chicken (brined for added flavor)
  • Fresh herbs and spices (rosemary, thyme, sage)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Stuffing (bread, vegetables, aromatic herbs)
  • Fresh vegetables (carrots, potatoes, Brussels sprouts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by rinsing it under cold water and patting it dry.
  3. Make the stuffing by combining bread cubes with sautéed onions, celery, and diced herbs.
  4. Stuff the turkey cavity with the stuffing, securing with kitchen twine.
  5. Season the skin with a mixture of melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped herbs.
  6. Roast in the oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound until it reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Baste the turkey with its juices every 30 minutes.
  8. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
