Description

A delightful spring dish celebrating fresh asparagus sautéed with toasted almonds and garlic, finished with a squeeze of lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Rinse and trim the asparagus.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the asparagus and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but crisp.
  5. Stir in the sliced almonds and toast for another 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice before serving.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy every bite.

Notes

For a different nutty twist, substitute almonds with chopped walnuts or pecans. Make ahead by prepping asparagus a few hours prior to serving.
