Description

A succulent pork tenderloin dish with a caramelized exterior, complemented by balsamic vinegar, honey, and crisp apples.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pork tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the pork tenderloin generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the seasoned pork tenderloin into the hot pan and sear each side for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the tenderloin from the skillet and place it in a prepared baking dish.
  6. Toss in the sliced apples in the same skillet and cook until they begin to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle in balsamic vinegar and honey, stirring to combine.
  8. Pour the apple mixture over the tenderloin in the baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  10. Allow the pork to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Resting the meat is crucial for juiciness. Made-ahead option: marinate overnight.
