- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pastry cream
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and combine until just mixed.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Make a small hole in the center of each cupcake and fill with pastry cream using a piping bag.
- Top with a layer of chocolate ganache and allow to set.
