Description

A comforting and savory Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich with grilled chicken, creamy avocado, and gooey cheese on toasty bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or whole wheat)
  • 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Butter or oil for toasting
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
  4. Layer the grilled chicken slices, avocado slices, and cheese on top.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Cook until golden brown, then flip and cook until the other side is golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
