Description

Tender meatballs infused with melted mozzarella and fresh basil, served in marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about the size of golf balls.
  4. Place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil for a crispy exterior.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce, tossing gently to coat.
  9. Serve warm, garnishing with extra cheese and basil if desired.

Notes

These meatballs can be prepped in advance and stored uncooked in the fridge for a day or frozen for longer storage.
