Description

Decadent Chocolate Ice Cake with rich layers, creamy filling, and a crunchy cookie base. Perfect for any celebration!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake pans by greasing and lining them with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake layers on a wire rack.
  9. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add powdered sugar and whip until stiff.
  10. Assemble the cake with whipped cream in between layers and on top.
  11. Chill for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize by adding chocolate chips or nuts to the cake batter.
