Description

A luscious cheesecake with a decadent chocolate base and a vibrant strawberry swirl that creates an unforgettable dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup melted dark chocolate
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for strawberry swirl)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the crust by mixing chocolate cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of a springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Create the cheesecake filling by beating the cream cheese until light and fluffy, then gradually adding in granulated sugar, eggs, sour cream, and melted chocolate.
  4. Prepare the strawberry swirl by mixing strawberry puree with sugar and lemon juice.
  5. Assemble the cheesecake by pouring the filling into the cooled crust and dropping dollops of strawberry puree on top. Swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until edges are set and center jiggles slightly.
  7. Cool the cheesecake in the oven for an hour, then refrigerate for a minimum of four hours.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or freeze individual slices for up to a month.
