- 6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Tomato soup or marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
- Flatten a slice of bread slightly with a rolling pin.
- Add a generous amount of cheese at one end of the flattened bread and roll it up tightly.
- Repeat until all slices are filled and rolled.
- Melt butter in the hot skillet.
- Place the roll-ups seam side down in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm alongside dipping sauce.
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for better results. Customize with favorite cheeses or add vegetables.
