- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 1 cup cornflour
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a mixing bowl, combine slices of beef with soy sauce, allowing to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the coating: Dredge the marinated beef strips in cornflour, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Heat the oil: In a wok or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to approximately 180°C (350°F).
- Fry the beef: Cook the beef in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
- Make the sauce: In a clean wok, combine sweet chili sauce with sautéed vegetables. Stir-fry briefly.
- Combine and serve: Toss the crispy beef in the sweet chili sauce and serve hot.
