Description

A rich and indulgent chocolate cake with layers of cream cheese and nuts, topped with coconut for added texture and flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 package German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. Layer shredded coconut and nuts at the bottom of the pan.
  4. Combine the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and vegetable oil in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the coconut and nuts in the pan.
  6. Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Drop dollops of the cream cheese mix over the batter and swirl with a knife.
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan before serving.

Notes
