Description

Delicious baked mozzarella sticks that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for snacking or entertaining.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (low-moisture)
  • Breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Italian Herbs (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up your dredging station with flour in one dish, whisked eggs in a second dish, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and seasonings in a third.
  3. Slice the mozzarella into sticks about 1-inch wide and 3-4 inches long.
  4. Coat each cheese stick in flour, then dip into the egg wash, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated sticks on the baking sheet with space in between each.
  6. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For added texture, consider using panko breadcrumbs. Make ahead and freeze for later enjoyment.
