- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (Sriracha or your choice)
- 4 brioche or potato burger buns
- Sliced pickles
- Fresh lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each breast in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry the chicken in a hot skillet or deep fryer until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Make the hot honey sauce by combining honey and hot sauce in a saucepan over low heat.
- Toast the cut sides of the buns until golden brown.
- Assemble the sandwich with fried chicken, drizzle with hot honey sauce, and add pickles and lettuce before topping with the bun.
