- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons crushed pistachios (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease your donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder until evenly blended.
- In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Carefully pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix gently to avoid overmixing.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
- To prepare the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Dip each donut into the glaze and sprinkle with crushed pistachios.
- Serve warm and watch them disappear!
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use almond or coconut flour. Consider preparing the batter a day in advance.
