Description

Charming chick-shaped deviled eggs, filled with creamy goodness and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Black olives for decoration (optional)
  • Carrot pieces for beaks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a vigorous boil, then remove from heat and cover. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool down: Transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold running water.
  3. Peel with care: Gently tap and roll each egg to crack the shell. Peel under cold running water.
  4. Transfer the yolk: Cut each egg in half lengthwise and scoop the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  5. Mix the filling: Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Fill the egg whites: Use a piping bag or Ziploc bag to fill each egg white with the yolk mixture.
  7. Create chick features: Attach carrot pieces for beaks and black olives for eyes.
  8. Sprinkle with paprika: Add a sprinkle of paprika for visual appeal.
  9. Garnish and serve: Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
