- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup M&Ms
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, corn starch, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well blended.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing them 1.5-2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, removing them when the tops look set.
- Cool on the sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
You can refrigerate the cookie dough for up to 2 days before baking, and feel free to customize with nuts or different chocolates.
