Description

A delectable Monte Cristo casserole featuring flaky croissants, savory ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, perfect for brunch or a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 flaky croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup sliced turkey
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
  • Maple syrup for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the torn croissants, ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly in the dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, pressing down gently.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden on top.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle with maple syrup.
