Description

A rich and creamy Oreo Buttercream Frosting, perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes, and more.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter on medium-high speed until light and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Switch to high speed and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  4. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  5. Use the frosting immediately to top your cakes or cupcakes, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later.

Notes

For perfectly decorated cupcakes, use a piping bag with your favorite tip.
