Ingredients
- Fresh Basil Pesto
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Sourdough Bread
- Butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a generous amount of fresh basil pesto.
- Add slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto.
- Place the other slice of sourdough on top, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare your basil pesto in advance and store it in the fridge. You can also assemble the sandwiches beforehand and grill them just before serving.
