Description

Elevate your grilled cheese experience with a delightful combination of fresh basil pesto, creamy mozzarella, and crispy sourdough.


Ingredients

  • Fresh Basil Pesto
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Sourdough Bread
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a generous amount of fresh basil pesto.
  4. Add slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto.
  5. Place the other slice of sourdough on top, buttered side up.
  6. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare your basil pesto in advance and store it in the fridge. You can also assemble the sandwiches beforehand and grill them just before serving.
