Description

An elegant twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining layers of creamy mascarpone, coffee-dipped ladyfingers, and crunchy pistachios for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • ¾ cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed pistachios
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Additional crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Prepare each ladyfinger by briefly dipping it into the cooled espresso.
  3. Create a single layer of dipped ladyfingers in a rectangular dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Sprinkle half of the crushed pistachios over the mascarpone layer.
  6. Repeat the process with more layers of ladyfingers, mascarpone, and crushed pistachios.
  7. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Serve chilled and garnish with additional crushed pistachios.

Notes

For best flavor, prepare the dessert a day in advance. Use cold tools for whipping cream to achieve fluffiness.
