- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon zest for garnish
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer, cook until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add white wine, simmer, then stir in cream and bring to a boil.
- Combine Everything: Reduce heat, add pasta and reserved water, then toss in shrimp and bell peppers.
- Finish and Serve: Top with Parmesan, lemon juice, and fresh herbs before serving.
