Description

A comforting casserole featuring creamy mashed sweet potatoes topped with a crunchy pecan crumble, perfect for family gatherings and cozy holidays.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash until smooth.
  3. Mix the mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and beaten eggs.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Prepare the pecan topping by mixing chopped pecans, flour, sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the pecan topping over the sweet potato layer.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.
