Description

A refreshing Tuna Pasta Salad that combines tender pasta with marinated tuna, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a creamy dressing, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., rotini or penne)
  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain and let cool.
  2. Combine the cooled pasta, drained tuna, halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, and red onion in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Make the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a separate small bowl.
  4. Toss the dressing over the pasta and vegetables, gently mixing until well coated.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

This salad can be made ahead of time for optimal flavor. For a lighter version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
