- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 toasted burger buns
- Cheddar or American cheese (optional)
- Fresh lettuce
- Ripe tomatoes
- Onions, sliced
- Pickles
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into patties slightly larger than the buns.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- Add a small pat of butter on each patty in the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the burger buns until golden.
- Assemble the burger by placing the patty on the bun and adding cheese and toppings.
